This place is amazing!! The hut is set at the edge of an equestrian centre, right on the river bank, you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. We sat in the hot tub and watched the sun set, whilst the deer foraged on the other side of the river and bat's flew over head. It was so magical, my partner proposed to me here. In the day you can kayak straight off the bank and go fishing or walk into the village. The hut itself is beautiful with everything you need. We'd highly recommend this lovely place.

Thus is such a beautiful spot, right on the river!! Everything you need for a simple break. The hot tub was so lovely and kept hot all night, we were able to have a dip both mornings withoutany need for extra logs. I'd recommend the kindling and log pack from the farm shop as you drive in. The only thing I'd add is that it was pretty dreary weather when we visited so we had a bit of trouble charging our phones using the solar power. So make sure you have full power when you arrive and charge in pubs etc on your trip to keep it topped up! Hosts were very quick at getting back to us and helpful and I would definitely recommend this beautiful accommodation!

What a wonderful experience. Jamie and Luke have poured love and care into building a little piece of paradise by the river. Thoughtful touches truely make this hut stand out by far. You have opportunities to swim, kayak or paddle board up the river, star gaze by the fire and the hot tub is amazing. We will definitely be visiting again!

The most magical stay with absolutely incredible views. Somehow this stay manages to be both eco & luxury. We cannot wait to find an excuse to come back, sit in the tub and stargaze whilst sitting by the river. Would absolutely recommend a stay in this slice of paradise.

I surprised my boyfriend with a night here for his birthday. We had the most amazing stay! The Shepherds hut is sparkling clean, very comfortable and feels spacious inside. We also really liked the way it had been decorated. Hot tub and fire pit were great fun and the location is absolutely beautiful. It’s a short walk into the village and you can also rent kayaks/paddle boards nearby. Jamie was a lovely host.

The Shepherd's Hut felt like our own private retreat in such an idyllic, secluded location. We would wake up in the morning and see the horses in the field right outside our bathroom window. We loved the hot tub - once it was warmed up it stayed hot for hours! - cooking on the fire pit and looking up at the stars at night. Perfect weekend getaway from London, surrounded by beautiful nature! Jamie and Luke gave lots of useful local recommendations and were wonderful hosts.
